If you’re like me, you’ve got your Mac set up so that you can only access it after inputting a password. One of the useful features of the Apple Watch is that it can automatically unlock your Mac when you activate it. It is quite simple to set up and has made my life that little bit easier. Here’s how:
- First ensure that your Apple ID is set up with two-factor authentication
- Go to the Apple menu > System Preferences
- Click Security & Privacy
- In the General tab, check the “Allow your Apple Watch to unlock your Mac”
Setup takes a little bit of time, but once completed, it works excellently. Note that you will need to input your password when restarting the computer.
